Custom glass design just the way you want it

ISOLAR DEKOREX® - University - Exeter - Great Britain

Glass is a popular, but above all, a timeless building material. Bright rooms, sufficient solar protection and optimally insulated buildings are foremost on the minds of property owners, architects and planners when it comes to deciding which glass to use for façades and interiors. However, more and more customers now want to install more than just a thermal insulation glazing, insulating glass, sun control glass or bird protection glass. A custom design is a must-have. The glasses from our Designer Glass range offer precisely that. There is a suitable glass solution for everyone – for both interiors and exteriors.

Our design glass variants:

We offer you three different designer glass variants:

You decide which design variant is the most suitable for you. In the following we explain the function, manufacturing processes and important technical details. We also provide you with information about the design variants from ISOLAR®.

DEKOREX® decodesign

©ISOLAR® - DEKOREX® decodesign in a living room

Function:

This design variant has no limitations: whatever the design—be it fancy patterns, floral ornaments or just simple lines – DEKOREX® decodesign is everything you would desire. It is a real eye-catcher – no matter where it is used, on exterior façades or in interior spaces. A metallic reflective coating is partially applied to a substrate material (float glass, tempered safety glass, laminated safety glass) exactly the way you want it and imagined. The front surface mirror can be used as non-tempered float glass, as a tempered safety glass or as a heat strengthened glass. The glass can also be converted into laminated safety glass. The glass is available in these variants: decochrome, decogold and decocopper.

Applications:

Façades, windows, roof glazing, noise reduction glazing, winter garden glazing, spandrel glass, windbreak, noise barrier wall, wall cladding, balcony glazing, all-glass installations, interiors, store fitting, partition wall, privacy protection.

Glass Type:

Multi-pane insulating glass (double glazing, triple glazing), laminated safety glass, tempered safety glass, heat strengthened glass, float glass.

Certification:

Tested according to EN 1096-2 Class A:

  • Abrasion resistance and acid resistance
  • Condensation resistance and neutral salt spray resistance

DEKOREX® screen print

©ISOLAR® - DEKOREX® screen print Wehrhahnlinie Düsseldorf

Function:

You would like to have the entire glass pane printed all over or decoratively? Screen printing is a tempered safety glass or heat strengthened glass that is screen printed with ceramic colours. These colours are then burnt in at 650 degrees Celsius during the tempering process and bonded permanently to the glass. This makes the glass enormously weather resistant, abrasion and scratch resistant, resistant to acids and dyes, UV-stable, resistant to thermal stress as well as impact-resistant.

Applications:

Façades, windows, roof glazing, noise reduction glazing, winter garden glazing, spandrel glass, windbreak, noise barrier wall, wall cladding, balcony glazing, all-glass installations, interiors, store fitting, partition wall, privacy protection.

Glass Type:

Multi-pane insulating glass (double glazing, triple glazing), laminated safety glass (made from tempered safety glass), tempered safety glass, heat strengthened glass.

Properties:

A variety of colour options and patterns as per customer requirements.

Certification:

Bonding of enamelled tempered safety glass, heat-soaked tempered safety glass and heat strengthened glass with the adhesive DOWSIL 993.

DEKOREX® digital print

©ISOLAR® - DEKOREX® Digitaldruck University of Exeter

Function:

Let your creativity run wild, opt for a designer glass in the digital printing process. In the digital printing process, individual images, photographs or patterns are transferred directly from the PC on to the tempered safety glass. Digital printing can also be produced in small quantities, in fact, even as a one-off. In this manufacturing process, the colour is applied directly to the surface of the glass.  During the firing process in the kiln, the colours bond permanently to the glass surface and become extremely scratch-resistant and can be further processed into insulating glass.

Applications:

Façades, windows, roof glazing, noise reduction glazing, winter garden glazing, spandrel glass, windbreak, noise barrier wall, wall cladding, balcony glazing, all-glass installations, interiors, store fitting, partition wall, privacy protection.

Glass Type:

Multi-pane insulating glass (double glazing, triple glazing), laminated safety glass (made from tempered safety glass), tempered safety glass, heat strengthened glass.

Properties:

All common graphic formats are suitable for digital printing: PDF, EPS, TIF, BMP and JPG with a resolution of at least 360dpi.
